Jaymes Lackey was born and raised in Oroville and has spent years working with students, educators, families, churches, schools, and community organizations throughout Northern California.
He brings the same thing to every room: humor, curiosity, honesty, and a genuine interest in helping students think more clearly about who they are and the kind of community they want to create.
His wife, Erin, often joins school visits with photography, cotton candy, and the kind of joyful energy that helps turn an event into something people remember.

Jaymes was born and raised in Oroville and has spent his adult life at the intersection of education, family, community, and service.
He teaches students, serves in public-school leadership, raises three kids in the public-school system, and remains deeply invested in the community that raised him.
When Jaymes walks into a school, he isn't coming in as an outsider to education.
